Carmen & Frank Vigliatore - Our Owners

The founding fathers of Markham Subaru. They opened their first business in 1976 with $500. Initially, they repaired Fiat and Alfa Romeos and sold the Russian car, Lada. In 1986, their business expanded when Subaru came on board and success was immediate. Their Scarboro store was the top selling Subaru dealer in Ontario for 10 successive years. They also have Kia, Mitsubishi and Suzuki dealerships in their portfolio. Both brothers are still involved in the day to day operations of the dealerships.

Carlo Vigliatore - General Manager

Carlo oversees the day-to-day operations of the dealership and also acts as the new and used vehicle sales manager. He has dabbled in nearly all aspects of the car industry, from working on the sales floor to being a parts and service advisor, so he could develop a solid appreciation of all facets of the business. Carlo likes to work hands-on and encourages customers to see him personally if they have any concerns or suggestions. Carlo is an honours graduate from Ryerson's journalism program. Jim has been with Markham Subaru since the day we opened our doors and has been selling Subarus for more than ten years. Jim is our liaison with our various lending institutions and handles all the contractual details of every lease and finance deal. Jim can also advise you about the many ways you can protect your new or used vehicle. Jim moonlights as a professional magician and also speaks Cantonese.

David Kong - Business Manager

Financing is in David's blood. After graduating from UofT with an Honours degree in public policy and economics, he spent nearly a decade working in the banking sector. Seeking new and exciting opportunities, he decided to give retail car sales a try and his success was immediate. Not only can David assist you with any financing needs, he is also an expert in all of our various protection packages.

Gordon has been with Markham Subaru since before we opened, first learning his trade at our temporary satellite location in Markville Mall. Since those humble beginnings, Gordon has become one of our most popular sales associates, being recognized as a Subaru Canada Star Performer a remarkable seven times. Gordon believes in no-pressure sales presentations and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin. In 2016, he made all of us proud by having the best customer service index score of any Subaru salesperson in Canada.

 
Patrick Mutuc - Sales Professional

Patrick has spent his entire professional life in the automotive industry. He began by working the parts counter at a luxury dealership but was quickly promoted to a sales role. After a few years, he decided he needed a change to something more mainstream. That is what led him to us. Patrick brings with him an in-depth understanding of the needs of today's buyers and we are very pleased to welcome him to the team. Patrick also speaks Tagalog.

 
Nicholas Chan - Sales Professional

Nicholas joined our team in 2010. His background is in graphic design and he has directed commercials and worked on feature films throughout Asia. Nicholas speaks four languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Thai. To add to the multicultural nature of his home life, his wife also has a Masters Degree in French.

 
Roger Chu - Sales Professional

Originally a banker in Hong Kong, Roger moved to Canada with his family nearly 10 years ago. Since then he has applied his vast knowledge of finances to auto sales. He spent nearly half a decade at a European import dealership downtown before deciding he wanted to work closer to home. Roger speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently and is quickly becoming one of the stars of the Markham Subaru team. 

Faye Domingo - Sales Professional

Like many of our best employees over the years, Faye was a customer first. A proud Impreza owner and former merchandiser with several big chains, Faye decided it was time to experience a new challenge. Her abundant enthusiasm and friendly demeanor are sure to win you over. Faye studied linguistics in university and is fluent in both English and Tagalog. 

Ollie Rocha - Sales Professional

Ollie has more than 20 years of experience in automotive sales, including 10 with onle of the biggest Subaru dealers on the West Coast. He recently moved to Ontario after spending 25 years in Vancouver. Prior to that, he worked in radio and television in Hong Kong. In addition to English, Ollie also speak Cantonese and Mandarin.

Timothy So - Sales Professional

We first met Timothy as a young man when his mother and father became one of Markham Subaru's first clients. Several vehicles later and Timothy has understandably developed a bit of an obsession with all things Subaru. He has dabbled in many different aspects of the automotive industry, including training as a technician, before settling on sales. We're glad we could bring him home where he belongs. In addition to English, Timothy also speaks Cantonese.

Xiaomin (Terry) Liu

After graduating university with a background in computer sciences, Terry spent the first few years of his professional life as an insurance agent. After speaking to a friend of his who worked in the car industry, he decided to take a leap of faith and try it for himself. Terry has two children and speaks both English and Mandarin.

Mark Crawford - Bookkeeper

Mark joins us after spending the majority of his professional career in the broadcasting industry. While he readily admits that the car business seems to be unique from an accounting standpoint, he has been more than up to the challenge. Mark has a keen eye for detail and loves working behind the scenes to keep our operations humming along smoothly. 

 
Kennis Luong - Receptionist

Kennis is the smiling face that greets you in the evenings and on weekends. Kennis has worked in a variety of customer service positions, but her most important job is as a mom to her three children. Kennis speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin


 

Debra Owens - Administrative Assistant

Debra brings a wealth of automotive experience to our front desk. Although she recently moved back to Markham, she has been working in automotive retail for the past six years. Extremely organized and always approachable, Debra is the oil that keeps our office running smoothly.

Lenny Nero - Service Manager

Subaru Excellence in After Sales Management, Gold Level - 2012, 2016

Lenny is our original service manager. He oversees all aspects of the parts and service departments and is our liaison with Subaru Canada. You can feel confident when your car is in Lenny's hands. He boasts more than two decades of service experience with such luxury brands as Saab and BMW and is committed to constantly exceeding your expectations. Lenny enjoys sharing his experience with all of his clients, so feel free to ask him a technical question or for advice on the proper maintenance of your car any time.

Ryan Leandertz - Service Advisor

Ryan began his career with us as a detailer but after only a short time at that job, it was clear that his love for the brand and his friendly personality (not to mention his exquisite attention to detail) would be well suited to the service desk. Ryan's family are long-time clients of ours with a love of all things high performance. Ryan is currently the proud owner of a WRX STI.

Mark Scriver - Service & Parts Consultant

Mark was a licensed automotive technician at various Japanese manufacturers for nine years before deciding that he wanted to put his business schooling to good use. He is friendly, approachable and most of all, knowledgeable about all things cars. Your car will be in good hands when you book your next appointment with Mark.

Carew Yip - Service Consultant

Carew spent the last few years working the parts counters of a large aftermarket change. After gaining some valuable experience (and becoming a proud Subaru owner himself) he decided he was ready for a new challenge. Carew speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Eric Su - Parts Manager

We are proud to say that Eric has been with our family since before Markham Subaru even opened its doors. He began his career as an apprentice technician at Scarboro Subaru before finishing his training in Markham. Now he is taking his years of automotive expertise and applying them to the front end of the business, making sure your vehicle receives the right parts all of the time.

Willson Wong - Parts Specialist

We first met Willson as a client and then a succesful salesperson with us for a number of years. After trying his hand at several different ventures, he decided that cars were in his blood. In search of a new challenge, he jumped at the opporunity to fill a vaccancy in our parts department, and we're glad he did.

Javed Inshanally - Shop Foreman

Javed is a factory-trained Subaru technician who has been with Markham Subaru since the day we opened our doors. He has performed every imaginable mechanical task, from engine repairs to complex electrical diagnosis. Javed's first priority is fixing your car quickly the first time.

Andre Khan - Licensed Technician

Andre has nearly 20 years of automotive experience and is a specialist in transmission and driveline repairs. After spending time in independent garages, Andre is excited to ply his trade with a franchised dealer.

Ivan Chin - Licensed Technician

Ivan brings with him more than 25 years of mechanical experience. He has owned his own service centre in the past and has achieved certifications for repairs on air conditioners, emission systems and all manner of alignment problems. His expertise is a welcome addition to the Markham Subaru team.

Hayden Lee - Licensed Technician

Hayden has been working in Markham as an automotive technician for more than a decade now. Although this is his first job in a dealer setting, his energy and passion are infectious and inspires everyone around him to excel.


 

Junior Hewitt - Detailer

Junior has been detailing vehicles since 2006. In that time he has worked at both dealerships and independant shops. He has a passion for what he does and it shows in his work. If you're looking to restore the new car shine to your gently used Subaru or need to get a tough stain out of the driver's seat, Junior is your man.

Jey Nagaraja - Shuttle Driver

Jey is the friendly face that will drop you off at the office early in the morning and then pick you up when your vehicle is ready. He loves meeting new people and has been in the car business for more than five years. Although born in Sri Lanka, Jey studied in Norway and still knows how to speak a little Norwegian and Danish.

We initially met Anthony when he was working at a local car rental store while still in school. After graduating from Seneca's business program, he joined one of the big banks as a security analyst. But his love for automobiles never subsided and he came to us after getting restless with the day-to-day grind of the banking world. Anthony's enthusiasm for both our brand and our industry is infectious and you will know within moments of meeting him that your car is in good hands with Anthony.
